Paving the way
for the resilience of individuals, teams, organizations,
communities and municipalities
– “the ability to bounce BACK”
A traumatic event
is a deeply disturbing experience
perceived as a threat to your life as you know it.
But is there a way to limit the effects of a traumatic event
and to hinder the onset of post-traumatic stress (PTSD)?
SDEROT
Sderot is an Israeli city located less than a mile from the Gaza border. The past 20 years have been characterized by a constant barrage of Qassam rockets from the Gaza Strip. Due to the ongoing, repeated exposure to circumstances of trauma/stress and the short response time (less than 15 seconds to find shelter), the city of Sderot has a markedly high percentage of diagnosed PTSD in the population.
However, by way of community building and intentional city programming for resilience training and management across ages and populations across the city,
the Sderot community has managed to develop an effective, evidence-based framework for a community that not only pushes through the challenges thrown their way, but BOUNCES BACK.
The goal of this workshop is to provide Senior management with practical guidelines and protocols to create a more resilient community or municipality. The modules are based on the preparedness, crisis and recovery timeline and offer a resilient mindset to the infrastructure, protocols and training within the community or the municipality.
It offers a broad view to resiliency with the practical aspect of it. This is a tailor made (based on pre-assessment stage) and in-depth workshop.
The goal of this workshop is to provide field professionals with the broad understanding of resiliency and how it practically relates to their specific role. The training includes work on the preparedness, crisis and recovery timeline, while teaching guidelines and beneficial tools for providing efficient services during and following a crisis while learning how to self-care.
It is offered to different target audiences, as defined by senior management and is tailor made as well.
